ABOUT LUCINDA BABI
Lucinda Babi is a label creating modern ethical clothing on a made-to-order basis, based in Melbourne/Naarm, Australia. I founded the label in 2018 after completing a Fashion Honours degree, and have been hand-crafting pieces from my Collingwood studio since then.
Originally from the UK, but now settled in Australia, I fuse inspiration from historic British references and the nostalgia of home, with modern Australian sensibilities and culture.
Along with the made-to-order pieces which are available to order through the shop page, I also offer a custom and commission service for more bespoke pieces.

I’m committed to sustainable and mindful design, and my dedication to producing each garment myself enables me to minimise material waste while ensuring quality and ethical manufacture. I am always continuing to seek out new methods of operating more consciously, and hopefully with tech advancements and new fabric innovations it will become easier to integrate more sustainability into my practice.
Fabrics and trims are sourced locally and with careful consideration, however the label is focused on exploring more sustainable materials and improving its credentials. All orders are shipped in recycled/compostable packaging.
